Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work Le Mariage Mystique De Sainte Catherine by Luca Longhi. It changed hands for a price of EUR 27,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luca Longhi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Mystic Marriage Of Saint Catherine With A Bishop Saint, Probably Saint Nicholas Of Bari in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 289,000.00 (€ 194,730.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Mariage Mystique De Sainte Catherine von Luca Longhi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 27.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luca Longhi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Mystic Marriage Of Saint Catherine With A Bishop Saint, Probably Saint Nicholas Of Bari im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 289.000,00 (€ 194.730,81).
