Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A garland of fruits and flowers by Luca Forte was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Christies in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 58,458.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Forte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A basket of apples, calabashes, an upturned copper vessel, figs, melons, with other fruit on rocky ledges in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 500,800.00 (€ 722,795.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A garland of fruits and flowers von Luca Forte wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 58.458,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luca Forte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A basket of apples, calabashes, an upturned copper vessel, figs, melons, with other fruit on rocky ledges im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 500.800,00 (€ 722.795,94).
