Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Luca Forte could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours (Evening Sale) auction, the work A garland of fruit with guinea pigs and watermelons changed hands for GBP 115,250.00 (€ 133,689.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luca Forte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A basket of apples, calabashes, an upturned copper vessel, figs, melons, with other fruit on rocky ledges in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 500,800.00 (€ 722,795.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luca Forte konnte im Dezember 2010 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours (Evening Sale) wechselte die Arbeit A garland of fruit with guinea pigs and watermelons für GBP 115.250,00 (€ 133.689,65) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luca Forte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A basket of apples, calabashes, an upturned copper vessel, figs, melons, with other fruit on rocky ledges im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 500.800,00 (€ 722.795,94).
