This artwork by Lu Runxiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Running Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,608.29) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Runxiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Runxiang erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.608,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Runxiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04) versteigert wurde.
