Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lu Runxiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2017. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,581.56) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Runxiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Runxiang erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.581,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Runxiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04) versteigert wurde.
