This artwork by Lu Runxiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script sold for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,715.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Runxiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 36,000.00 (€ 36,763.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Runxiang erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Regular Script für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.715,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Runxiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 36.000,00 (€ 36.763,04) versteigert wurde.
