Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The High Street At Eton by Louise Rayner was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,548.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louise Rayner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Watergate Street, Chester in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 28,680.00 (€ 41,170.56).

Die Arbeit The High Street At Eton von Louise Rayner wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.548,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louise Rayner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Watergate Street, Chester im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.680,00 (€ 41.170,56).
