Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work High Street, Salisbury; and a companion painting (a pair) by Louise Rayner for USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,248.68). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Rayner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watergate Street, Chester in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 28,680.00 (€ 41,170.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit High Street, Salisbury; and a companion painting (a pair) von Louise Rayner für USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.248,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Rayner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Watergate Street, Chester im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.680,00 (€ 41.170,56).
