Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Buttercross, Ludlow by Louise Rayner. The price achieved of GBP 8,320.00 (€ 8,320.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louise Rayner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Watergate Street, Chester in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 28,680.00 (€ 41,170.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Buttercross, Ludlow von Louise Rayner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.320,00 (€ 8.320,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louise Rayner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Watergate Street, Chester im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.680,00 (€ 41.170,56).
