Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Castle Street, Salisbury by Louise Rayner. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,424.98). Admittedly, works by Louise Rayner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Watergate Street, Chester in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 28,680.00 (€ 41,170.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Castle Street, Salisbury von Louise Rayner zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.424,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louise Rayner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Watergate Street, Chester im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.680,00 (€ 41.170,56).
