Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work A View Of Windsor Castle From Peascod Street by Louise Rayner. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,264.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louise Rayner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Watergate Street, Chester, which sold at auction in November 2003 for GBP 28,680.00 (€ 41,170.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A View Of Windsor Castle From Peascod Street von Louise Rayner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.264,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Louise Rayner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Watergate Street, Chester beobachtet, die im November 2003 für GBP 28.680,00 (€ 41.170,56) versteigert wurde.
