Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Collegiate School Relief Multiple by Louise Nevelson was auctioned at Christies in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 1,134.00 (€ 1,039.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louise Nevelson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dawn's Landscape XLIII in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,159,200.00 (€ 1,122,929.38).

Die Arbeit Collegiate School Relief Multiple von Louise Nevelson kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.134,00 (€ 1.039,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louise Nevelson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dawn's Landscape XLIII im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.159.200,00 (€ 1.122.929,38).
