Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in Sydney held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Bouquet aux branches de cassissier dans pichet brun by Louis Valtat. The price achieved of USD 37,800.00 (€ 34,653.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Valtat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madame Valtat et son fils in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 726,650.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bouquet aux branches de cassissier dans pichet brun von Louis Valtat zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 34.653,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Valtat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madame Valtat et son fils im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 726.650,00.
