Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aurore Boréale by Louis Soutter was sold in the Swiss Made UNLOCKED auction at Sothebys in Zurich in June 2020. It changed hands for a price of CHF 187,500.00 (€ 176,347.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of CHF 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Soutter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work PARAMount., which sold at auction in December last year for CHF 390,700.00 (€ 395,192.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Aurore Boréale von Louis Soutter wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Swiss Made UNLOCKED bei Sothebys in Zürich versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von CHF 187.500,00 (€ 176.347,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von CHF 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Soutter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit PARAMount. beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für CHF 390.700,00 (€ 395.192,06) versteigert wurde.
