Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Christies in Skinner Marlborough, Mass held the auction Art Moderne, which included the work Rubing Day by Louis Soutter. It changed hands for a price of EUR 75,600.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Soutter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work PARAMount. in December last year with an auction result of CHF 390,700.00 (€ 395,192.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in Skinner Marlborough, Mass die Auktion Art Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rubing Day von Louis Soutter zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 75.600,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Soutter auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit PARAMount. im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 390.700,00 (€ 395.192,06).
