In the The Collection of the Late Andre Meyer auction, the work Portrait of Princess Galitzin, bust length, wearing a green dress with lilac ribbons and a pearl necklace changed hands for USD 32,900.00 (€ 36,584.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Michel van Loo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of The Comtesse Marie Louise De Beaurepaire, Seated Full Length In A Landscape Holding A Garland Of Flowers in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
