In June 2015 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work Portrait De La Princesse Galitzine by Louis-Michel van Loo. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 27,500.00 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Michel van Loo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of The Comtesse Marie Louise De Beaurepaire, Seated Full Length In A Landscape Holding A Garland Of Flowers in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait De La Princesse Galitzine von Louis-Michel van Loo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 27.500,00 und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Michel van Loo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of The Comtesse Marie Louise De Beaurepaire, Seated Full Length In A Landscape Holding A Garland Of Flowers im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 550.449,00).
