Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louis-Michel van Loo could be acquired at Christies in London in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online auction, the work Portrait of a young girl, bust-length, in a feigned oval changed hands for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 9,027.98) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Michel van Loo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of The Comtesse Marie Louise De Beaurepaire, Seated Full Length In A Landscape Holding A Garland Of Flowers in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 550,449.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis-Michel van Loo konnte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of a young girl, bust-length, in a feigned oval für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 9.027,98) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Michel van Loo erzielen.
