Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fisherfolk along the Dutch coast by Louis Meijer was sold in the 19th CenturyEuropean Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2007. The price achieved of EUR 24,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Meijer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fisherfolk near beached pinken at dusk, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 176,250.00 (€ 80,895.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fisherfolk along the Dutch coast von Louis Meijer wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 24.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Meijer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fisherfolk near beached pinken at dusk beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 176.250,00 (€ 80.895,45) versteigert wurde.
