Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II, which included the work Portrait Of Arthur, 1St Duke Of Wellington (1769-1852) by Louis-Marie Autissier. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,175.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Marie Autissier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An important miniature of King William I of the Netherlands, facing left in blue uniform with gold buttons and epaulettes, gold-embroidered red collar, black stock, wearing the breast star of the Order of the Garter, gold-embroidered green curtain ba in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 49,350.00 (€ 79,
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Arthur, 1St Duke Of Wellington (1769-1852) von Louis-Marie Autissier zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.175,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis-Marie Autissier erzielen.
