In June 2009 Christies in London held the auction Centuries of Style: Silver, European Ceramics, Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes, which included the work A young gentleman, in olive brown coat, striped waistcoat, white frilled cravat, dark curling hair (artist's joins) by Louis-Marie Autissier. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,346.93), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis-Marie Autissier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An important miniature of King William I of the Netherlands, facing left in blue uniform with gold buttons and epaulettes, gold-embroidered red collar, black stock, wearing the breast star of the Order of the Garter, gold-embroidered green curtain ba in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 49,350.00 (€ 79,

Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An important miniature of King William I of the Netherlands, facing left in blue uniform with gold buttons and epaulettes, gold-embroidered red collar, black stock, wearing the breast star of the Order of the Garter, gold-embroidered green curtain ba im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.350,00 (€ 79.188,55).
