In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT GOLD BOXES,OBJECTS OF VERTU & PORTRAIT MINIATURES, which included the work Hebe and the Eagle; Hebe standing full length on a cloud, in gauze dress with embroidered hem and rolled down to her waist to reveal her breasts, yellow cashmere stole with multi-coloured border flowing about her shoulders, pearl set gold tiara and p by Louis-Marie Autissier. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,861.17), 31% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis-Marie Autissier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An important miniature of King William I of the Netherlands, facing left in blue uniform with gold buttons and epaulettes, gold-embroidered red collar, black stock, wearing the breast star of the Order of the Garter, gold-embroidered green curtain ba in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 49,350.00 (€

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.572,50 (€ 9.861,17) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
