The work Two smoking phantoms in shape of women by Louis Marcussen was sold in the Modern art and design auction at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year. The auction ended at the price of DKK 40,000.00 (€ 5,369.96), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of DKK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Marcussen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two mirrored surreal compositions, recto et verso in June this year with an auction result of DKK 200,000.00 (€ 26,849.82).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Two smoking phantoms in shape of women von Louis Marcussen wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von DKK 40.000,00 (€ 5.369,96) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Marcussen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two mirrored surreal compositions, recto et verso im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 200.000,00 (€ 26.849,82).
