Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Female phantom, surreal composition with a yellow figure on a blue background by Louis Marcussen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 25,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 21,000.00 (€ 2,816.56). Admittedly, works by Louis Marcussen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two mirrored surreal compositions, recto et verso in June this year with an auction result of DKK 200,000.00 (€ 26,849.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Female phantom, surreal composition with a yellow figure on a blue background von Louis Marcussen im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 25.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 21.000,00 (€ 2.816,56) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Marcussen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two mirrored surreal compositions, recto et verso im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 200.000,00 (€ 26.849,82).
