Here, the estimate of DKK 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for DKK 27,000.00 (€ 3,621.92). Admittedly, works by Louis Marcussen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two mirrored surreal compositions, recto et verso in June this year with an auction result of DKK 200,000.00 (€ 26,849.82).
Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Surreal composition with female phantomes in a forest centered around a face von Louis Marcussen wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert. Dabei wurde der Schätzpreis von DKK 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für DKK 27.000,00 (€ 3.621,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Marcussen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two mirrored surreal compositions, recto et verso im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 200.000,00 (€ 26.849,82).
