Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deux dormeurs by Louis Marcoussis was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021. The price achieved of EUR 21,420.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 18,000.00 – 24,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Marcoussis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bocal Au Poisson, Livre, Guitare Devant Le Balcon in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 480,750.00.

Die Arbeit Deux dormeurs von Louis Marcoussis kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 21.420,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 18.000,00 – 24.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Marcoussis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bocal Au Poisson, Livre, Guitare Devant Le Balcon im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 480.750,00.
