In July 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Tower by Louis Lozowick. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,984.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Lozowick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pittsburgh in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 386,500.00 (€ 304,474.55).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tower von Louis Lozowick zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.984,73) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Lozowick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pittsburgh im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 386.500,00 (€ 304.474,55).
