In March 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman, which included the work Panama by Louis Lozowick. The »bidding war« ended at USD 35,000.00 (€ 26,248.69), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Lozowick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pittsburgh in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 386,500.00 (€ 304,474.55).

Im März 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Panama von Louis Lozowick zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 26.248,69) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Lozowick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pittsburgh im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 386.500,00 (€ 304.474,55).
