Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Midinette Devant Un Café by Louis Legrand was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,813.37). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Legrand - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Danseuses Saluant, which sold at auction in June 2016 for EUR 22,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Midinette Devant Un Café von Louis Legrand kam im März 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.813,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Legrand mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Danseuses Saluant beobachtet, die im Juni 2016 für EUR 22.500,00 versteigert wurde.
