Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Costume Design by Louis Jean Desprez was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,539.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Jean Desprez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Design For A Stage Set: The Temple Of Neptune in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 124,045.61).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.539,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
