Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Winter Morning by Louis Fratino. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 76,200.00 (€ 71,995.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Fratino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tristan Drinking Soup in May last year with an auction result of USD 365,400.00 (€ 340,508.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winter Morning von Louis Fratino zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 76.200,00 (€ 71.995,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Fratino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tristan Drinking Soup im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.400,00 (€ 340.508,81).
