Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Couple by Louis Fratino was auctioned at Phillips in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 12,700.00 (€ 14,629.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Fratino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tristan Drinking Soup in May last year with an auction result of USD 365,400.00 (€ 340,508.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Couple von Louis Fratino kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.700,00 (€ 14.629,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Fratino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tristan Drinking Soup im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 365.400,00 (€ 340.508,81).
