This price was achieved in the auction 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Louis Fratino; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tristan Drinking Soup sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 365,400.00 (€ 340,508.81).
