Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Crucifixion by Louis de Caullery was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Christies in London in December 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,021.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis de Caullery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Crucifixion On Mount Calvary in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 114,500.00 (€ 155,586.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Crucifixion von Louis de Caullery wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.021,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis de Caullery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Crucifixion On Mount Calvary im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 114.500,00 (€ 155.586,08).
