In January 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Standing Male Nude Facing Left, Holding A Staff by Louis de Boullogne. The »bidding war« ended at USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,704.51), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis de Boullogne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venus In The Forge Of Vulcan in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 128,148.15).

Im Januar 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing Male Nude Facing Left, Holding A Staff von Louis de Boullogne zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.704,51) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis de Boullogne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venus In The Forge Of Vulcan im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 173.000,00 (€ 128.148,15).
