Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louis de Boullogne could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries auction, the work A pair of mythological scenes: A) Diana and Acteon; B) Venus and Adonis changed hands for USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,361.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis de Boullogne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus In The Forge Of Vulcan in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 128,148.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis de Boullogne konnte im Januar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries wechselte die Arbeit A pair of mythological scenes: A) Diana and Acteon; B) Venus and Adonis für USD 13.860,00 (€ 12.361,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
