Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work La Bayadère by Louis-Camille D'Olivier was auctioned at Christies in Paris in November 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 411.25. Other works by Louis-Camille D'Olivier have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2002 by the work Nu féminin au miroir at EUR 528.75.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit La Bayadère von Louis-Camille D'Olivier im November 2002 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 411,25 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Louis-Camille D'Olivier wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2002 die Arbeit Nu féminin au miroir mit EUR 528,75.
