In October 2020 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Highland Cattle Watering by Louis Bosworth Hurt. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,562.50 (€ 8,397.51), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Louis Bosworth Hurt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 55,200.00 (€ 82,085.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Highland Cattle Watering von Louis Bosworth Hurt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.562,50 (€ 8.397,51) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Bosworth Hurt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loch Lubnaig And Ben Vane im August 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.200,00 (€ 82.085,89).
