This artwork by Lou Shibai achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. In the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Orchid sold for HKD 14,160.00 (€ 1,606.68) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lou Shibai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bird On The Rock in April this year with an auction result of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 128,670.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lou Shibai erzielte im März 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Orchid für HKD 14.160,00 (€ 1.606,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lou Shibai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bird On The Rock im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 128.670,65).
