This artwork by Lou Shibai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Morning Glory and Dragonfly sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,519.30) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lou Shibai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bird On The Rock in April this year with an auction result of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 128,670.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lou Shibai erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Morning Glory and Dragonfly für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.519,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lou Shibai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bird On The Rock im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 128.670,65).
