The work Chicks by Lou Shibai was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 12,600.00 (€ 1,495.89), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lou Shibai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bird On The Rock in April this year with an auction result of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 128,670.65).

Die Arbeit Chicks von Lou Shibai wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 12.600,00 (€ 1.495,89) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lou Shibai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bird On The Rock im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 128.670,65).
