In January 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Untitled, 1966 by Lorser Feitelson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,200.00 (€ 7,816.69), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lorser Feitelson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in December 2019 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 83,504.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, 1966 von Lorser Feitelson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 7.816,69) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lorser Feitelson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 83.504,05).
