Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Loretta Lux achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October 2021. In the Photographs auction, the work At the Window sold for USD 16,380.00 (€ 14,179.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Loretta Lux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marianne, which sold at auction in November 2005 for USD 45,600.00 (€ 38,676.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Loretta Lux erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit At the Window für USD 16.380,00 (€ 14.179,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Loretta Lux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marianne beobachtet, die im November 2005 für USD 45.600,00 (€ 38.676,84) versteigert wurde.
