Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work The Penitent Saint Jerome by Lorenzo Sabatini. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,308.48). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lorenzo Sabatini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Holy Family With The Sleeping Christ Child, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 51,650.00 (€ 61,858.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Penitent Saint Jerome von Lorenzo Sabatini zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.308,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lorenzo Sabatini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Holy Family With The Sleeping Christ Child beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 51.650,00 (€ 61.858,17) versteigert wurde.
