Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lorenzo Sabatini could be acquired at Sothebys in Paris in June 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle auction, the work The Holly Family With Saint Catherine Of Alexandria changed hands for EUR 10,000.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lorenzo Sabatini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Holy Family With The Sleeping Christ Child in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 61,858.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lorenzo Sabatini konnte im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle wechselte die Arbeit The Holly Family With Saint Catherine Of Alexandria für EUR 10.000,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lorenzo Sabatini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Holy Family With The Sleeping Christ Child im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 61.858,17).
