Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Susie Bick per Complice Anello 1988 by Lord Snowdon was auctioned at Il Ponte in July 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 150.00 – 250.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 100.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lord Snowdon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work David Hockney, 1963 in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,959.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Susie Bick per Complice Anello 1988 von Lord Snowdon im Juli 2020 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 150,00 – 250,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 100,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lord Snowdon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit David Hockney, 1963 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 8.959,13).
