Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lord Snowdon could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Snowdon: A Life in Art and Objects auction, the work Nine books from Lord Snowdon's collection relating to photography and fashion changed hands for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,102.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Lord Snowdon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work David Hockney, 1963 in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,959.13).
