Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Selected Images by Lois Conner for USD 1,143.00 (€ 1,035.33). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lois Conner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Buddha, Leshan, Sichuan; Gaotien, Guangxi, China; and St. George's Hotel, Brooklyn, New York, which sold at auction in February 2003 for USD 3,824.00 (€ 3,547.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Selected Images von Lois Conner für USD 1.143,00 (€ 1.035,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lois Conner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Buddha, Leshan, Sichuan; Gaotien, Guangxi, China; and St. George's Hotel, Brooklyn, New York beobachtet, die im Februar 2003 für USD 3.824,00 (€ 3.547,64) versteigert wurde.
