This work of art by Lois Conner could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Hangzhou, Zhejiang And Zigui, Sichuan - Yangtze River (2 Works) changed hands for USD 3,720.00 (€ 2,781.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Lois Conner have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2003 by the work Buddha, Leshan, Sichuan; Gaotien, Guangxi, China; and St. George's Hotel, Brooklyn, New York at USD 3,824.00 (€ 3,547.64).
