This artwork by Lloyd Sexton Jr. achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. In the California Art auction, the work Landscape with Haleakala Silversword sold for USD 14,025.00 (€ 11,885.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lloyd Sexton Jr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calm Seas in a Hawaiian Cove in August last year with an auction result of USD 138,975.00 (€ 138,077.50).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lloyd Sexton Jr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calm Seas in a Hawaiian Cove im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.975,00 (€ 138.077,50).
